Lost & Found Wallet

Dear Editor,
My husband Dennis and I found a wallet in the middle of the street just beyond San Pedro Supermarket heading south. It contains a social security card identifying its owner as Jose Pena. We'd really like to get it back to him; I know he must be worried. The only clue we have is that he may live in the San Mateo area. Could you help us find him. Thanks in advance for your help,

Stephanie & Dennis Kay

Good-bye to Juan Carnaval!

On Ash Wednesday, the locals performed the last Carnaval tradition of 2009 - the burning of Don Juan Carnaval, a life-sized stuffed doll. Spectators accompanied him at a special gathering held at the Old Football Field at 8:30pm. The purpose behind the burning of Don Juan Carnaval is the conclusion of another year of Carnaval. Thanks to Mayor Elsa Paz for visiting Ambergris Today along with Don Juan Carnaval.
